Using the Response Accuracy Calculator
- Select the % figure for each response e.g. 75% respondents answered ‘yes’ to a particular question.
- Select the total sample size e.g. 500 completed questionnaires.
- The figure in the box shows the accuracy of your response.
E.g. if 75% respondents answered ‘yes’ to a particular question, and you spoke to 500 respondents, you can be 95% confident that your result is accurate within 3.9%. I.e. If you interviewed everyone in the market, you would reasonably expect a ‘yes’ response of not less than 71.1%, and not more than 78.9%.
