What is the best advice you have ever been given?
Life is like cooking. You won’t make a dish perfectly the first time. But the more times you cook it, the better it tastes and the easier it becomes to make it taste good.
What is your favourite place you have visited – and why?
Ecuador. Spent three weeks in the Amazon rainforest completely off the grid, learning about plants and animals and culture found nowhere else in the world.
What is your favourite book?
I’m very fond of I, Robot by Isaac Asimov. I read it when I was younger, and it really got me into science fiction.
What is your favourite pastime?
Watching and playing basketball, going on bike rides to explore the city, and anything outdoors be it hiking, camping, or searching for swimming holes along rivers.
